Get the most out of Trak (Part 3: Improve)

Trak is more than just a home test kit - it’s a whole new approach to fertility that can help you maximize your sperm production and tilt the odds of conception into your favor.

In Parts 1 and 2, I gave some tips on optimizing the test and learn steps of the approach.  Finally, here are some tips to get the most out of step 3: Improve

 

IMPROVE

Now that you can measure it, you can improve it.  Sperm count is kind of a unique health parameter, in that it can rise and fall, ebb and flow for a lot of different reasons.  With Trak we want to arm you with the tools you need to optimize your sperm health.
  • Start early. Don’t battle nature, you won’t win.  The sooner you can take steps to improve your fertility, the better your chances of success.

  • Focus on the things you can do. You’ll find a lot of the recommendations for optimizing your sperm production are good general health recommendations: eating better, being more active, quitting smoking, etc.  Don’t worry, we’re not talking about quitting your vices for the rest of your life (although that doesn’t hurt!), we’re recommending focusing on these things at this point in your life for your path to fatherhood.  Others are even easier: stay out of the hot tub and off your mountain bike for a few months to give your boys a breather.  Adopting a few of these habits can make a big difference.  For me, I just focused on reducing my BMI from “overweight” to “normal”, and my sperm count nearly doubled.
  • Do it together. Work with her to make a “you and me” fertility boosting plan and tackle this one as a team.  Many of the fertility-friendly lifestyle recommendations are gender-neutral, and it can really help to support each other and take this on together.
  • Don’t be afraid of the doctors.
